thermofin GmbH was founded in June 2002 by Bernd Löffler, and began its production of finned heat exchangers for cooling and air conditioning service equipment in fall 2003. Ever since, 30,000 heat exchangers have been manufactured which perform reliable service in national and international projects. The continuous increase in production, variety of products and customer base reflect the satisfaction of the plant operators. More and more customers resort to an experienced team under the direction of Bernd Löffler and the consultancy of his father Willy Löffler. The main objective of Thermofin's quality policy is to gain and preserve the confidence and satisfaction of their clients. In order to obtain this objective they build up their quality management continuously. The quality management system focuses on the requirements according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and the Directive 97/23/EC for pressure equipment. Their production process is already certified according to the regulations of DIN EN ISO 3834-3 and AD 2000 HP0. Due to the application of modern manufacturing processes and in consideration of permanent quality-assuring examinations they are able to guarantee the reliability of their products at any time. At the same time all materials and components which are employed in their production process meet the highest quality standards which are guaranteed by quality certificates of their suppliers.

Thermofin manufactures a broad range of evaporators. The range of application for these units includes refrigerating or deep freezing rooms, store room for industrial appliances. As refrigerant both ammoniac and frigen are available for ceiling mounted and double coil units. For applications in processing rooms without draft, evaporator model TEP are built, where the air flow along the unit is horizontal and low velocity at the outlet. Blast freezers in floor mounting are used for refrigerating and deep-freezing of goods piled up on racks with capacity range of 10 – 75 kW.

Thermofin provides aircoolers for air-conditioning in both industrial and commercial refrigerating. The refrigerant is either water or water-glycol mixtures where frost protection is required. For ceiling mounted units the cooling capacity is in the range of 1 – 130 kW. A model for processing rooms is also available, where the air flow along the unit is horizontal and low velocity at the outlet.

Condensers for refrigeration and air-conditioning designed for outdoor operation. The floating coil tubes do not contact the end and middle sheets of the coil. This principle reduces the risk of tube fracture and ensures a long life and a high working reliability. The standard condensers' capacity is in the range of 19 – 1200 kW, whereas the double coil models are between 50 – 1500 kW. Also, condensers with ammoniac as refrigerant and build with zinc-steel tubes are available in the range of 19 – 1200 kW.

For the use of water as refrigerant or water-glycol mixtures, where frost protection is required, thermofin provides drycooler units designed for outdoor operation. The floating coil tubes do not contact the end and middle sheets of the coil. This principle reduces the risk of tube fracture and ensures a long life and a high working reliability. The standard drycooler has a cooling capacity of 15 – 1075 kW and the double coil units range in 50 – 1450 kW cooling capacity. The double coil units need less space at high drycooling capacity.

The heat exchanger coils are available in numerous material combinations and various fin spacings to support multiple applications. The tube material can be copper, V2A, V4A and steel hot-dip galvanized.
